Groodle Guardians
What is a Guardianship Program?
Groodle Guardianship is a pivotal part of our breeding program and helps us prioritise the health and well-being of our dogs. Guardians welcome our gorgeous Groodles into their home as puppies and provide them with unconditional love and a forever family. All we require is you share them with us during a few breeding cycles so we can welcome the next litter of loveable pups into the world.

The Groodles in this program are chosen based on their exceptional genetics, temperament and health … in other words the ideal family pet!
They are often from our own litters but also sometimes offspring from other reputable breeders we partner with.
Our Guardian Groodles will have a maximum of three litters each.
When it’s time for whelping, mumma will be brought into our care so we can be there to support her and keep a close eye on everything as she prepares for birth. But don’t worry, she’ll be comfortable with us … we’re like her extended family – we’ll keep in regular contact and she’ll know us as friendly faces but you’ll still be her humans.
While she’s with us, you’re welcome to spend time with her and the puppies (or take a well-deserved holiday knowing your beloved pet is getting round-the-clock care).
She will stay with us for approximately eight weeks after birth until her puppies are weaned, and then she’ll be ready to return to your loving home.
There is no adoption fee with our Guardian Groodles.
We will cover all the costs relating to breeding – this includes everything from tests, to food while in our care, and even desexing.
You will be responsible for all the costs that come with pet ownership. This includes insurance, food, grooming, worming, tick and flea prevention and general vet bills.
Before you apply for this program, please consider the costs that caring emotionally and financially involve.
Our Guardian families go through extensive screening to make sure they are the perfect fit for our puppies and Groodles of Noosa families. Our Guardian families must:
- Own their own home
- Live on the Sunshine Coast
- Have no other dogs at home
- Have the ability to emotionally & financially care for a puppy
