QUESTIONS ABOUT GROODLES

Groodles (or Goldendoodles as Americans like to call them) are a crossbreed between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. They combine the best attributes of both breeds, making them extremely friendly, intelligent and hypoallergenic pets.

Groodles are known for being very friendly, affectionate, and sociable dogs. They are ideal family pets as they are extremely loyal and patient, making them suitable for homes with children and other pets.

Groodles come in a range of sizes influenced by whether their Poodle parent is Miniature, Medium or Standard – we specialise in all sizes. To learn more about how big your Groodle can get and their coat types, click here.

People who say they are allergic to dogs are more often than not specifically allergic to pet dander! All dogs have and shed dander (it comes from their skin cells) but people only tend to have reactions when it is released into the atmosphere.

When you hear the term hypoallergenic, people are referring to dogs with a curly wool or fleece coat that a low to non-shedding. These types of coats tend to retain more pet dander, meaning they’re less likely to stimulate allergies. Groodles are hypoallergenic.

Our daughter has suffered from severe allergies to pet dander her whole life and we’re happy to say she can enjoy puppy love from both our Groodles without any issue. If you have allergies, we would love for you to come and spend some time with our girls first before committing to owning a Groodle.

Groodles are very active and energetic dogs that require regular human interaction. They also need daily walks of at least 45 mins to an hour.

To raise a happy and healthy pup, it’s important you consider their dietary, grooming & space needs.
